Flowers for funeral

Funeral flowers are seen as a beautiful last greeting at the funeral. It is usually close relatives who, through their choice of coffin decoration or urn decoration, set the color and tone of the funeral.

There are several different customs and traditions around funeral flowers and really no right or wrong. What is appropriate for a funeral often depends on the wishes of relatives or the deceased. The choice of flowers and color is often based on a memory you have of the person who has passed away.

Flower
It is common to bring a hand flower in addition to other flowers. Often a hand flower is a simpler rose with a bit of green, but it can of course also be obtained with other varieties.

The hand flower is often left when saying goodbye at the coffin/urn.

Coffin & urn decoration
Is a larger type of arrangement and is suitable for an urn or coffin. It is usually a close relative who orders this type of arrangement for a funeral.

Condolence flowers
These are sent to relatives of the deceased before the funeral to show concern.

The flowers are often white or in other lighter colors, unless otherwise specified when ordering.

Flowers for funeral
It is common to choose a wreath or a heart. We fill the form with many beautiful flowers and greenery. We at Oxåker make sure that the flowers are at their most beautiful on the day the funeral takes place. If you don't want the classic heart or wreath, you can order a funeral bouquet instead. Here you, as a customer, of course have the opportunity to choose which colors you want.

We create with color according to your wishes and you are free to choose what you want. To ensure that we have the flowers you want at home, we at Oxåker wish to receive the order at least a couple of days before the funeral takes place. Delivery in Malmö is made by us. We also deliver outside Malmö, just contact us for prices.

When you order a larger flower arrangement, you can also order for a ribbon and on the ribbon is written a greeting and who the flowers are from. If you don't want a ribbon, a card also fits well, we also write a greeting and sender on it.

Not able to come to the funeral?

Even if you are unable to attend a funeral, you can order flowers. They always arrive in good time for the funeral.
